Some random notes this time.

First, my book, Advanced Limit Hold’em Strategy, is just about finished. I have read and returned the edited version to my publisher, and it should go to press within a week. The official availability date is July 31, and it should be very close to accurate. I am quite excitedto have the book finally in print. I think everyone will learn something from it. It is roughly half reworked columns you may have read before , and half entirely new material.

The book should be available at several places (I am not sure where except Amazon), and I will offer autographed copies here. More details on this in a few weeks when I have the books. I expect to be able to open a separate forum for comment sand questions on the book.

Speaking of the forum, we have had to close registration to new members for a few weeks while we figure out how to deal with the bots which are signing up and posting at the rate of 30-50a day. I hope we will work it out and get it open to new people before the book officially debuts.

BARGE will start on July 31, and run through Aug. 4. This a great series of events for people who love both poker and fun. A great crowd playing interesting and different poker tournaments for fairly low stakes with, on occasion, some of the best players in the world. For more details, or to register, please go here.

Las Vegas has been jumping the past few weeks with major tournaments going on at the Rio (WSOP), the Bellagio, and the Venetian. Long waits for tables at the Bellagio, but the games have been worth it. Things will slow down soon. If you are in town, please make it tohe Lifestyles Show at the Rio July 5-8. Many poker products, magazines, apparel, gimmicks, and other things all in one place. Free. Definitely worth a visit.

My lesson fee will be going up as of August 1. It is now $150 per hour, and will be $200 per hour after that. For current students, I will hold the $150 per hour rate through the end of the year.

I will back in Hallandale, FL. between August 18-25, visiting my mother. If anyone will be around there then, please let me know.
