Poker Lessons

I have been offering lessons for several years. I am a working poker professional, playing several days (nights, actually) a week at the Bellagio. I have an extensive teaching background, and enjoy helping others understand the real intricacies of our game.

My lessons are $200 per hour

The lessons work one of three ways. We make an appointment by e-mail for you to phone or visit with me (I live in Las Vegas), and

1 - Ask me questions, or ask me to discuss certain topics (blind play, playing AK, poker math, whatever), or

2 - Send me summaries of hands you have played. I read them before the lesson. Then we analyze the hands, trying to find tendencies in your game that need correction, or

3 - Describe hands you have played, and we discuss strategy and understanding opponents. We look at what you can do better, and I try, as in the lesson above, to find areas you can focus on (playing tighter, raising more, bluffing differently, or whatever you need help with.)

I work with players who know how to play, but want to improve their games, correct flaws, improve strategically, and so on. I do not read Internet hand records, as they are difficult to follow, and they do not tell me why you took the actions you did. I can load some records into Pokertracker and replay them, but I still need to know why you took the actions you did.

The first lesson is always guaranteed. If you do not feel you got value after one hour, just say so and do not pay.
